• This newsletter will be posted in the News Section on our school website every Friday to tell you important events and opportunities at Lakeland Jr./Sr. High during the coming week. 

• Yearbooks are on sale at the lowest price of the year now until August 26th! Go online to jostensyearbooks.com to order and contact yearbook@lakelandlakers.net with any questions.  The yearbook covers grades 7-12.

• Tri-Kappa Mu of LaGrange County is now accepting applications for this year's Corn School Queen Competition.  Students ages 15-19 who live in LaGrange County may compete for a $1000.00 scholarship, plus awards for Miss Talent, Miss Congeniality, and the Virginia Hart-Schwinn Award for Community Service.  Applications are available at Lakeland Jr/Sr High School.

Jr./Sr. High Clubs

• Club meetings start this week!  Check out the LECC Extracurricular website to see what clubs & activities students can get involved with this year.

Jr/Sr High Sports

• Girls Basketball will be having a Taco Bar fundraiser at the American Legion on August 27th from 5pm-7pm.  Tickets are being sold by girls basketball players for $12.  See a girls basketball player or contact dgearheart@lakelandlakers.net for tickets.

Seniors

• Check this section for senior deadlines, scholarship information, and career opportunities throughout the school year.

• Scholarship Postings:

• LaGrange County Lilly Scholarship is due to the LaGrange County Community Foundation by September 15th.  Check out https://www.lccf.net/lillyscholarship to apply.

• Start applying to colleges between now and November. Stop in guidance if you have any questions.

• Lakeland’s FAFSA night is October 12th.  Bring your (and your parents’) 2021 tax information.
