Seniors

  • 42 Seniors are taking the challenge to develop a Senior Project, and there are 24 projects currently "in the works." The kids begin by finding a topic they are passionate about. Some work independently, and others have a partner. Each team then creates a written proposal which includes the following information:  project description, how the student(s) will be using our school wide learning outcomes (agency, oral communication, written communication, collaboration and critical thinking), how various content areas from prior classes play a role, a community service component (how the project affects someone else), and project justification. The completion of a Senior Project is one of the requirements toward earning a Leading Edge Diploma - the highest diploma track Lakeland offers.
