Morning Car Riders: Our school day starts at 8:05 with announcements and morning meetings. We have noticed car riders arriving at 8:00 and then going to breakfast. This is causing some students to not arrive to their classes until 8:20. Breakfast is free to all students this year and we want students to enjoy a morning meal to start their day. If your child is a car rider who eats breakfast, please drop them off earlier to allow them enough time. School doors open at 7:45. Thank you.

Today we started NWEA Fall testing. These scores will help teachers create learning groups in their classrooms. It is important for students to bring their devices charged and have a good attitude about testing. We will continue with testing on Thursday and Friday. Reminder: Tomorrow we will be operating on a two hour delay schedule because it is our first PD Delay Day.

Laker Nation is sad to learn of the passing of Herb Kerns, a former Lakeland bus driver. Herb was my bus driver a long time ago! I remember when he took us for a little ice cream cone on the last day of school. I believe it was at the A & W, which is long gone! Our condolences go out to his family; he touched many lives in Laker Nation! https://www.fruripmayfuneralhome.com/obituaries/Herbert-R-Herb-Kerns?obId=28832821&source=fb1&fbclid=IwAR07m01HCylbNfRVErr0Q8R9oI-aQZMAHDA5Kgzr0-zRQIfE7k8QEHz5-Hg
