We are a ...

"Destination Corporation!"

Welcome to another exciting adventure at Lakeland! Each year, we strive to get just a little bit better at the important jobs we do. Last year was our 1st year implementing 2-hour delays for focused professional development. We are already starting to see the fruits of that labor in our test scores; we are still not where we want to be, but gaps are closing! We continue to focus these Wednesdays on literacy and behavior at the elementary levels, and best practices in education at our Jr/Sr High level. This year, we are fully implementing professional learning communities in all buildings. These meetings occur each Friday morning and are focused on ensuring a consistent and rigorous academic experience for every student.

While we work on providing excellent academics, we are also working to improve the connections our students have to our school and community. This year, we are offering E-Sports as a varsity program. Yes, video games can even earn college scholarships now! We hope this program provides a school connection for students who may not have felt that sense of belonging with us before. We offer a variety of clubs and sports for students. We also continue to forge relationships with local employers to develop important career programs, like our new Veterinary Careers program.

There's something for everyone at Lakeland, so hop on board!
