Pay

Starting pay is $25.00 per hour for a 3-4 hour route, 185 days a year

Years of Service per hour incentive after 1st year

Extra Curricular Runs are $15.00 per hour (Sports & Academic Trips)

How to Obtain a CDL

  1. BMV Tests

    • CDL General Knowledge

    • Air Brake Endorsement

    • School Bus Endorsement

    • Passenger Endorsement

  2. CDL Physical

  3. Train with a trainer

    • Pre-trip Check

    • Student Stops

    • Railroad Crossings

    • Prepare for Skills Test

    • Four (4) Point Brake Check

    • Backups

  4. 8 hours drive time with CDL driver

    • No students on the bus

  5. 4 hours observation time with CDL driver

    • May have students on the bus

  6. 2.5-3.0 day class

    • Sites determined by the State of Indiana. Currently our nearest site is at East Noble.

  7. Take the final test!
