Lakeland School Corporation (LSC) has accepted an offer on Lima-Brighton from The World Olivet Assembly, which purchased Howe Military in 2020.
LSC Superintendent Dr. Blaize told us: βWith an expected decrease in enrollment over the next three years due to graduating classes being larger than kindergarten classes, LSC is preparing for expected education fund decreases: the sale of Lima-Brighton will position LSC to excel in our infrastructure, staff pay, and curriculum expansions. We will continue to focus on providing high-quality programs in all areas for our students.β
Programs held at Lima-Brighton will be relocated to other facilities, while the historical artifacts from inside Lima-Brighton will be rehomed to the LaGrange Co. Historical Museum. LSC will retain Wolcott Mills Elementary in Wolcottville.
